Warner Bros. Giving 'Wizard Of Oz' 3-D Treatment

To help celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard Of Oz, one of the most iconic films in the history of motion picture, distributor Warner Brothers Pictures has arranged for a special one-week engagement of the 3D enhanced film at IMAX® theatres across North America beginning September 20, 2013.

How M. Night Shyamalan Went from a Good Director to a Bad Joke

I knew M. Night Shyamalan’s career was over when I saw Inception. More specifically, during the previews. The audience erupted in laughter when they saw his name as the mind behind Devil (or as I like to call it, Someone’s in the Elevator with Satan!). The man whose name once brought anticipation had become synonymous with embarrassment.

This was even before Night had further debased himself with The Last Airbender, which managed to check off all the following boxes:

Picking Your Battles

I’ve never hidden my disdain for 3-D films. It’s a gimmick and almost never adds anything to the art of film. Guillermo del Toro, best known for his Hellboy series, said at this year’s Comic-Con that his new monster flick Pacific Rim would not be converted to 3-D. Statements like these make me jump for joy.

GI Joe Enforces a Channing Delay

Film delays are inevitable, but they generally occur months before the film's scheduled release. Not so with G.I. Joe: Retaliation. If you haven't heard, the release date had been June 29 but is now March 29th…2013. Yes, that's a nine month delay. What rumpus is that? The official reason has something to do with adding 3-D to the film (gag me).

Drive Angry 3-D Super Bowl Spot

Even though the Super Bowl isn't until Sunday, we have a sneak peak at one of the commericals that will be on display during the game.  That is right.  Right now you can see the spot bought by Summit Entertainment to promote their forthcoming movie DRIVE ANGRY 3-D starring Nicolas Cage.

Interview: Stev-o: Jackass 3-D

Jackass 3-D has been setting records at the box office since its release last week.  While critics had been giving Paramount Pictures much skepticism about the reception the film would receive once it hit theaters, the studio has become the last one laughing…all the way to the bank in fact.  Shortly before its release we caught up with Stev-o at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas where he spilled a little bit about his film, the differences in filming the stunts sober and just how the guys took advantage of the new 3-D wave!
