Fox Orders Six Episodes of Napoleon Dynamite Animated Series

Fox continues to amass it’s animated stable with a new project voiced by the original cast of the quirky 2004 movie – including Jon Heder, the film’s oddball lead.  Other castmates signed include: Efren Ramirez (Pedro), Tina Marjorino (Deb) and Aaron Ruell (Kip) with Jon Gries (Uncle Rico). No word yet on if Dolly the llama (aka Tina) is joining the production.

Jared & Jerusha Hess: Director/Co-Writers of Gentlemen Broncos

After their 2004 breakout hit Napoleon Dynamite, creators Jared and Jerusha Hess were sitting pretty on cloud nine. Bankable stars in their own right, the pair opted to go mainstream for a little fun in the form of Nacho Libre starring Jack Black. But now, after a three year hiatus, the duo is back on the indie scene with their newest creation, Gentlemen Broncos.

Jared and Jerusha Hess have dry senses of humor. They are the masterminds behind the cult favorite Napoleon Dynamite, and they are heading back to the big screen to reproduce its success with Gentleman Broncos. The film, which tells the story of a loner who has his sci-fi novel stolen and published by his favorite author, sounds good on paper. However, the final result doesn't fare quite as expected, leaving much to be desired in all facets of the feature.
