The death of their childhood basketball coach leads to an unlikely reunion for five old friends. Congregating at the site of their championship celebration, the group of guys reminisce about the glory days. Funny People

Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann
Running Time:

Author(s):
Over the last few years, director Judd Apatow has made a name for himself in the world of comedy. Introducing audiences to actors such as Seth Rogen, Katherine Heigl, Steve Carell and Jonah Hill, Apatow has found ways to politely slip in some hard-R language and sexual references while still amassing universal laughter and appeal. In Funny People, Apatow is back at it again; though this time, he uses a clever blend of serious drama and witty dialogue to bring a wholesome, realistic story to the big screen.

After unfortunately meeting Filkins during their first day at high school, Ryan, Wade and Emmit are anything but excited about the next four years of their life. You see, Filkins is the school bully and will stop at nothing to make sure that the three freshmen live in fear while at school. Wanting to stop the constant pain, the three boys seek out some protection by placing an ad in the Soldier of Fortune magazine. Though the responses are high in quantity, the quality is lacking quite a bit; that is until Drillbit Taylor (Owen Wilson) shows up.
