It is a fairly familiar tale- the big greedy company will stop at nothing to make a buck. Dan Sanders uproots his family from Chicago to Oregon to develop an eco-friendly community, and in the process, he “pisses off nature”.

Extraordinary Measures

Running Time:
106

Based on the true story of one father’s race against time to save his children from a fatal form of muscular dystrophy, Extraordinary Measures grabs you from the moment it hits the screen. The story is inspiring, leaving you with a sense of sympathetic awe for the family and their struggle for pure survival.

This is my first real critique of a dramatic film so please bare with me.

When you think of Tom Sawyer, Atticus Finch or even Ebenezer Scrooge, you quickly think of works of literature. But when you hear about Professor Lidenbrock from Jules Verne's 'Journey to the Center of the Earth,' you don't think about books, hell you might not even thing about movies; yet, the story that surrounds the professor is as amazing as that of Tom, Atticus and Ebenezer.
