Last year Walt Disney struck gold with an all new Muppets movie that featured the acting talents of Jason Segal, Amy Adams, and Chris Cooper. This year, to hopefully continue to 'generous' giving, the studio is releasing one of its beloved Muppet classics, The Muppet Christmas Carol 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Having sealed away several of their all-time classics in the air-tight 'vault,' Walt Disney Studios has kept fans waiting anxiously for some of their Blu-Rays. Well guys, as of this past Tuesday, your collections become a bit more complete as five new releases finally hit store shelves: The Aristocats, The Tigger Movie, The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under combo pack, Lady and the Tramp II, andPocahontas/Pocahontas II combo pack.
Rob Marshall is set to direct a film version of the highly acclaimed Broadway musical "Into the Woods" for Walt Disney PIctures. The film will feature original music by Stephen Sondheim and will be written for the screen by James Lapine. (Lapine co-wrote the stage script with Sondheim.)
