Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes File for Divorce

After five years of marriage, Tom Cruise (49) and Katie Holmes (33) have filed for divorce.  The two were married after a quick courtship and engagement in 2006.  The couple has one daughter, Suri (6).  Cruise has two children from hi previous marriage to Nicole Kidman.

“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Homes' attorney said is a prepared release.  In conjunction with their request, we will not report on this story any further unless it impacts the actor's professional life.
